I recently stayed at a hotel not too far from Pamplona, surrounded by beautiful gardens. The family-owned hotel had a really nice restaurant where I enjoyed delicious meals. The staff, especially Antxón, the eldest son, went above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable. They truly made me feel welcomed and cared for. I highly recommend this hotel for its warm hospitality and fantastic dining experience.

We used the hotel as an overnight stop on the way to southern Spain, comfortable beds and good bathroom facilities.
Choice at brekfast could have been better. At the time of our visit local roads were under reconstruction making it a little difficult for us to find.

Great place for sunbathing or chatting with friends, ideal for business meetings, and convenient location for exploring the city. They even have a bar open almost all day and a restaurant serving all meals. Plus, I got to do some shopping nearby.
Nothing like a little smoke and air freshener to make me feel at home in my non-smoking room.

Whilst on the edge of an Industrial Estate, this can be ignored by the grounds of the Hotel and location to Pamplona. This is an excellent hotel to stay in for ease of access. Lovely grounds to sit in with your chilled glass of wine. Hotel staff friendly and helpfull. We used the bus route and found this very easy and simple to use. Access to walking route along river is worth doing as well, though the 4km advertised is more like 5kms!

Lovely grounds, excellent secure parking. A little difficult to find as in industrial estate but once there quite good.
Our room was looking very tired, beding clean but tired.

Great friendly hotel, nice staff, who were very helpful in providing a covered place to park my motorbike overnight as the rain was torrential. About a 15 minute walk to the town, which has several nice bars and restaurants.

I absolutely loved the elegant and cozy atmosphere of the hotel! The beautiful decoration, especially in the common areas, created a charming ambiance that made me feel right at home. As a senior, I appreciated the easy accessibility of the hotel. The staff was always ready to assist me with any needs I had, and the entire property was well-maintained, making it comfortable for people of all ages.
If I could suggest one improvement for a better vacation experience for seniors, it would be to have more assistance available for elderly guests. Sometimes, the children working there seemed a bit busy, and it would have been helpful to have additional support to ensure a seamless and enjoyable stay for seniors like myself.

The hotel is an ideal stop-off on journey to/from UK. Have used it many times, English spoken at Reception, staff helpful and friendly, rooms clean and comfortable. Good breakfast choice.
Not really a criticism, but restaurant is typically Spanish and doesn't open till 8:30pm. ½ /1 hour earlier would be nice, but hey ho, you're in Spain!

staff were excellent, friendly, understanding, enthusiastic...brilliant! I arrived late with my elderly mother, we were given a very warm welcome and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed included food even thought the restaurant and bar had long closed. Even though I spoke no spanish and some staff no english we managed to communicate pretty well. good food and excellent coffee!
no air conditioning, so had to leave window open all night, was disturbed by a dog barking from 3am onwards....other than than that can't fault my stay.

For the price we paid, our stay at Don Carlos was great value. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel grounds were beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially during the busy San Fermin festival.
Food for breakfast could have been better.
